Beach Equipment Agreement
Please read this agreement carefully. By completing your reservation, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
Who we are
Pines Camp Counsel is Fire Island Pines' first and only premium beach concierge service. We take pride in our equipment and our community. This agreement exists to protect both.
Your equipment
When your setup is delivered or picked up, you become responsible for all equipment associated with your reservation. Please treat it the way you'd want someone to treat your things.
Normal wear and tear happens — we get it. What we ask is that you use the equipment as intended and return it in the same condition you received it.
Damage
Accidents happen and we understand that. In the event of accidental damage consistent with normal use, we'll work with you reasonably.
Damage resulting from gross negligence — misuse, reckless handling, or failure to secure equipment in adverse conditions — will be assessed and charged at our discretion up to full replacement cost.
If you notice damage at pickup or setup, flag it to your counselor immediately. Unreported pre-existing damage may be attributed to your reservation.
Lost or missing equipment
If any equipment is lost, stolen, or unaccounted for at the end of your reservation, the following replacement fees apply:

These fees will be charged to your payment method on file.
Equipment return and abandonment
Unless you have booked Camp Couture — in which case your Counselor handles breakdown — you are responsible for returning all equipment to your designated pick-up zone at the end of your reservation window.
Leaving equipment unattended on the beach after your reservation ends puts it at risk of damage, theft, and creates exactly the kind of clutter we've built this business to prevent.
A $75 "Left a Trace" fee applies to any reservation where equipment is not returned to the designated zone by the end of the reservation window.
In the event that equipment is not accounted for following abandonment, lost equipment fees apply in addition to the Left a Trace fee.
Cancellation
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before your reservation receive a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your reservation incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations due to weather initiated by Pines Camp Counsel receive a full refund.
Weather and safety
Pines Camp Counsel reserves the right to cancel or modify any reservation due to unsafe weather or beach conditions. Your safety — and the safety of our equipment and team — comes first. Always.
A note on community
Fire Island Pines is a special place. We built this business because we love it. We ask that every guest treat the beach, the community, and our equipment with that same love.
