Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: February 17, 2026. By purchasing, reserving, or using any product or service from Pines Camp Counsel, you agree to the following terms.

Reserve. Arrive. Relax. Repeat. Responsibly.

1. Reservations & payment

All reservations must be completed through our official booking platform. Full payment is required at the time of booking. A reservation is confirmed only after payment is successfully processed and a confirmation email is issued.

Inventory is limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Prices are subject to change prior to confirmation. Once your setup is secured, it's yours for the reserved time window.

2. Operating days & service window

Pines Camp Counsel operates Thursday through Sunday during the summer season in Fire Island Pines, May to September. Your rental period begins and ends at the times stated in your confirmation. Late arrivals, early departures, or unused time do not qualify for partial refunds.

3. Weather policy

Beach conditions are dynamic and part of the Fire Island experience. We may offer rescheduling or a refund if conditions are deemed unsafe at our discretion. Umbrellas may be withheld during high winds for safety — this does not automatically qualify for a refund or discount. Safety decisions are final.

4. Cancellations

We operate with limited daily inventory and staffing. Modifications are not permitted — if you need to make a change, please cancel and repurchase.

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before your reservation start time are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows forfeit 50% of the total reservation fee. Refunds, when approved, are issued to the original form of payment.

5. Equipment use & responsibility

By renting equipment from Pines Camp Counsel, you agree to use all items for their intended purpose, exercise reasonable care, comply with all Fire Island Pines beach regulations, supervise minors at all times, and avoid placement on protected dunes or vegetation.

You are financially responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged equipment beyond normal wear and tear. Replacement fees may be charged to the card on file. Please refer to our Beach Equipment Agreement for full details.

The beach is chic. Respect it.

6. Assumption of risk & release of liability

Beach recreation involves inherent risks including sun exposure, wind and shifting sand conditions, ocean and shoreline hazards, and public beach activity. By using Pines Camp Counsel equipment or services, you voluntarily assume all associated risks and agree to release and hold harmless Pines Camp Counsel, its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates from liability for injury, loss, damage, or claims arising from use of rented equipment or participation in beach activities, except where prohibited by law.

We provide the setup. You assume the sunshine.

7. On-call attendant services

Select tiers include on-call attendant support during designated service hours. Attendants assist with setup adjustments and guest experience support. They do not provide lifeguarding, medical care, alcohol service, or child supervision. Guests remain fully responsible for their own safety and conduct.

8. Force majeure

Pines Camp Counsel is not liable for delays, cancellations, or service limitations resulting from events beyond our control, including severe weather, ferry or transportation disruptions, government restrictions, public safety advisories, or acts of nature. In such cases, remedies are at our discretion.

9. Sustainability & conduct

Pines Camp Counsel operates under Leave No Trace principles. Guests agree to return all rented items as instructed, avoid littering, and maintain respectful conduct toward neighbors and the community. Failure to comply may result in additional fees and/or refusal of future service.

We glam it up. Then we clean it up.

10. Intellectual property

All branding, content, images, and materials associated with Pines Camp Counsel are protected intellectual property and may not be used without written permission.

11. Charge authorization

By completing a purchase, you authorize Pines Camp Counsel to charge the card on file for reservation fees, damage or replacement costs, and applicable cancellation fees.

12. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes shall be resolved in Suffolk County, New York, unless otherwise required by law.
